beyond comprehension...

with just 4 weeks to go (if that), we are officially in the home stretch and are as excited as ever for our precious boy to arrive! we made a hospital trip last weekend due to contractions, but were released to go home and "take it easy". everything is ready to go and now we just have to wait...

as we've been getting everything ready here for for greyson, i can't help but to think of the eternity we have secured in heaven through Christ. let me explain - as do any expectant parents, we've spent countless hours thinking out every detail to make sure that his new home will be perfect (setting up his nursery, the bassinett, getting all the supplies, etc.). greyson, however, is absolutely oblivious to all this. he has no idea what's in store for him. in fact, at this point, he could probably never even comprehend what life would be like beyond the womb. so here's the deal - we too, are loved and cared for in the same way. God is creating a place in eternity for every believer. and it's not only great, it is beyond our comprehension. it's so wonderful and He's thought out every perfect detail! how can we not love Him? sometimes we have the tendancy to slip away from the reality and awesomeness of our eternal Father. we can't even begin to understand what life will be like beyond our life here on earth. but we can! take a look at what Christ says...

"do not let your hearts be troubled. trust in God; trust also in me. in my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, i would have told you. i am going there to prepare a place for you. and if i go and prepare a place for you, i will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where i am. you know the way to the place where i'm going...i am the way, the truth and the life. no one comes to the Father except through me." ~John 14:1 - 6

let these words be a reminder today and everyday, to daily live in the reality that Christ has offered us! there is a better place that we all, as believers, can look forward to one day! and it's available to all! take him up on the offer!

big hugs for baby...

hey everyone! we hope all is well with you! CLICK HERE to see some of the latest snapshots of hudson and our growing family. speaking of which, some of our favorite pictures in this bunch are of hudson giving big hugs to mommy's belly. everytime we talk about "baby greyson" and ask where he is, hudson runs over and gives a big hug to rebekah's growing belly. it's so neat to see him understanding the concept more and more as time passes. hopefully, he'll fully understand by the time the birth actually happens. rebekah is soon entering her 33rd week of pregnancy and everything seems to be going perfectly! glory! we are beyond excited to meet our new, precious little boy! thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers, too, we are confident they make a difference! enjoy the photos and will keep you updated!

the countdown has begun...

so...we are officially ready for greyson to arrive. we can't wait...although the thought of the lack of sleep to come does seem a bit daunting! over christmas break we had hudson's new room painted and got all new carpet installed up the stairs/hallway and in all three rooms. we moved hudson over into his new room (which he LOVES!) and got greyson's nursery all put together and ready. we are so excited to have another boy on the way!

rebekah is doing great, too. this week, she is 30 weeks pregnant. the countdown has officially begun! if you didn't already know, rebekah has decided to leave her job at stay at home full-time with the boys. she was only working 2 days a week, but we felt God leading us to this decision.
.
hudson is an absolute treasure! he is so precious and has such a sweet and loving personality. lately, he's loved coloring and especially likes playing with pots and pans. he continues to learn new words everyday and it's so awesome to see is personality develop even more! we can already tell that he'll be the BEST big brother to greyson!
so...there's the lastest update. CLICK HERE to see some new pictures! we'll keep you posted!

holiday time...

hey everybody!

we hope you're having a great holiday season! it's been so fun this year with hudson during the holidays...setting up the tree, decorating the house, making christmas cookies, and all the other fun stuff. one of his favorite things to do is to drive in the car and look at all the christmas lights. it's so fun to watch him become more verbal and he learning new words everyday. he's very into reading books and loves to play the most with things that really aren't toys (like utencils, cups, boxes, etc.). we're thinking that when it comes to opening christmas gifts, he's going to play with the paper and boxes more than the gifts themselves. that's okay...we had better enjoy that now!

rebekah is doing great with baby boy number two on the way! she is 25 weeks pregnant and is enjoying every moment of it. This little one seems to be very active and likes to kick mom and hudson all the time! by-the-way, if you didn't know already, our new bundle of joy will be named greyson cooper! it's not a family name or anything like that...just one that we both really liked! we are so excited for his arrival and are thrilled to have a brother for hudson to play with. please keep praying for rebekah and baby greyson!

we have some more pictures to share with you. CLICK HERE to see them! enjoy!

pumpkin patch

we made a trip the kingsway farm in hartville today to visit a pumpkin patch. hudson, who is now 18 months old, had so much fun! he especially liked the hayride out into the pumpkin patch where we got to pick our very own pumpkin. he also loved watching all the tractors and farm animals. he was so funny picking out a pumpkin...he went up and down each aisle and would look at each one carefully. finally, he found the pumpkins "his size" and tried to give them all to mommy to take home. at the end of the trip he was exausted and fell fast asleep in the car on the way home. we can't wait to do it all again next year...then we'll have "twice" the fun!!!

an update on baby number 2 - rebekah is finally beginning to feel better after a first trimester full of nausea and morning sickness (that lasted all day, everyday). she is finally starting to "pop" a little bit (even though nobody else can tell just yet). she feels the baby move and kick all the time and hudson knows that there's a "baby in mommy's belly" (he lifts up her shirt and points to her belly when you ask him about "mommy's baby"). we have an appointment on NOVEMEMBER 5th and hope to find out the sex of the baby. we'll keep you posted!!! thanks for your continued prayer for a safe and healthy pregnancy!
