june recap

can't believe that june has flown by already!  this summer is going way too fast, but we are so thankful for time so far that we've had to spend with our family and friends and look forward to the next month and a half till andrew has to go back to work.  

a typical june day for our family was to be outside as much as possible!  it's as simple as that! we have gone to a countless number of parks and cookouts, but one of our most favorite things is to go down to atwood lake. the boys love to play outside, explore anything they can get their hands on and especially go boating on the lake. 

  

  

yes, that picture of greyson was taken before his haircut (see what we mean about the afro!). we also discovered at a family cookout that hudson loves playing baseball, too.  we had fun hitting the ball around for while with uncle nick and rachel.  check out greyson watching from the stroller!  

and after being outside all day long, of course we have to clean up and have some bath fun, too! ;-)

 

 

as usual, we can't go anywhere without the camera so needless to say, we have a whole lot of pictures to share with you to recap the month.  okay, and just a warning - there are 219 pictures in this slideshow picture update, so grab a cup of coffee and a blanket and CLICK HERE! 

oh, and father's day was an unbelievable highlight, too, with these two awesome boys!

munroe falls metro park

today we ventured up to munroe falls metro park to spend the afternoon with some family, friends and old neighbors. we had never been there before and it was awesome and, not to mention, a perfect day for a picnic. the boys had so much fun running around in the fields, playing on the huge playground and especially looking at the fish in the water.  it was great! here are a few photos from our day. 

   

greyson especially loved the water so we had to keep a tight grip on him!

he also loved throwing grass in the water, too!

they were both captivated by watching the fish swim around the water and hudson LOVED throwing in pieces of bread for them to devour.  

  

the playground area, as always, was a huge hit and the slides were a favorite.  greyson even got in on the action.  

  

and then, of course, we couldn't go anywhere without greyson sticking some kind of foreign object in his mouth! ;-)  he loves to get ahold of sticks!

if you have the chance, you should definitely think about checking this park out!  is was great and had a beautiful swimming beach, too, that we didn't have time to do.  we'll have to try it out next time!  

haircut

greyson got all of his hair chopped off the other day.  if you haven't noticed in photos before, greyson has a thick head of red, curly hair. it was getting a little afro-like so we had our dear friend wendy give him a trim.  he looks so adorable and so much more like a little boy. here are some photos of the new do.

greyson has been so intrigued by airplanes.  everytime he hears one he looks up at the sky and points.  when he actually spots one he giggles and talks to it like crazy.  so cute!
